We love our Pathways’ Community! Meet Jennifer, a participant in our Langley Pathways program. Jennifer loves animals, as evidenced by her volunteer work with the Langley Animal Protection Society and the Langley Zoo. Volunteering in her community is one of her top three favourite things to do at Pathways (besides swimming and cooking). Jennifer also enjoys volunteering at the bottle depot.

Jennifer has been part of the Pathways community for eleven years. People enjoy spending time with Jennifer because she is always smiling and she loves to talk!

Through Pathways, Jennifer has achieved her goal of working and getting paid for the work she does! Jennifer also says she has enjoyed learning more about Romania and is busy preparing for her trip to Romania, June 2018. Pathways participants have been involved in planning and fundraising for several trips to travel as a team to Romania. They are able to speak about their experiences living with a disability to others, develop long-lasting relationships and inspire change within the city of Hundedoara, Romania. Jennifer says she enjoyed this process, especially helping to come up with new ideas for Romania and how they engage and support their citizens with disabilities within their community.
